HC Deb 18 July 1934 vol 292 c1099
7. Mr. JANNER (for Captain STRICKLAND)

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the 500 skilled workers to be admitted into Palestine in the near future for certain specified trades or crafts will be in excess of the quota of certificates previously decided upon for the half year?

The SECRETARY of STATE for the COLONIES (Sir Philip Cunliffe-Lister)

The 500 skilled persons concerned do not come within the category of labour immigrants and do not therefore affect the half-yearly quota of labour immigration certificates.
