HC Deb 10 July 1934 vol 292 cc156-7
11. Lieut.-Colonel HENEAGE

asked President of the Board of Trade whether he will give the total of the adverse or favourable balance of trade with each of the various countries with wihich treaties have been negotiated since the announcement of these treaties during the last three years, excluding invisible exports; and whether he has any figures to show how these totals compare with the state of trade before the treaties were negotiated?

The following table shows the total declared value of merchandise imported into and exported from the United Kingdom in trade with the undermentioned countries during the periods specified, together with the balance of imports or exports.
Country from and to which consigned, date on which the Trade Agreement came into force, and period to which the figures relate. Imports into United Kingdom. Total Exports from United Kingdom. Excess of Exports (+) or Imports (—).
