§ 25. Sir N. GRATTAN-DOYLEasked the Prime Minister whether he is aware that evidence exists that experiments are being made and secret German plans perfected by the Luft-gas-angriff department for the destruction of human beings in war by aircraft carrying deadly disease germs; that experiments have been made concerning the vulnerability of under ground railways in London and Paris: whether he has considered the evidence; and what action, if any, he proposes to take?
§ Mr. BALDWINI have seen allegations to this effect in a published article. They have been officially denied by the German Government. The question of the vulnerability of the underground 1903 railways in London is kept under constant observation as part of the general question of air raids precautions, but I do not consider it in the public interest to make any further statement.
§ Sir N. GRATTAN-DOYLEIs my right hon. Friend aware that the allegations referred to in this question are very definite and precise and are supported by very strong evidence; and, in these circumstances, may I ask him whether this is not a matter which ought to engage the urgent attention of His Majesty's Government?
§ Mr. BALDWINI have nothing to add to the answer which I have already given.
§ Sir N. GRATTAN-DOYLEMay I ask my right hon. Friend whether—
§ Mr. SPEAKERThe right hon. Gentleman has intimated that he has nothing to add to the answer which has already been made.
