asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether the Government intends to take action to implement the recommendations of the Committee on Police Consolidation in Scotland?

I have asked police authorities and others concerned to send me any observations they desire to make on the report of this Committee on or before the 31st instant. These observations will be carefully considered and the decision of the Government will be announced as soon as possible.
