HC Deb 30 January 1934 vol 285 c200
22. Mr. T. SMITH (for Mr. T. WILLIAMS)

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he has any statement to make on the present position in Malta?

Mr. M. MacDONALD

No, Sir. In the absence of my right hon. Friend, the Secretary of State for the Colonies, I do not think that there is any general statement that I could usefully make. Reports from Malta do not indicate that there is anything in the situation there that calls for special comment.
