asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury if he will state the number of turkeys imported into this country from Ireland during November and December last; the total weight; and the amount of duty involved?

The weight of dead turkeys imported into this country from the Irish Free State during November and December, 1933, was 2,450 cwts. and 52,324 cwts. respectively, on which the duty collected amounted approximately to £5,200 and £119,800 respectively. No figures are available as to the imports of live turkeys, which are included under the general heading of "live poultry," or as to the number of dead turkeys imported.
