His Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom were informed some time ago by His Majesty's Government in the Commonwealth of Australia of this proposed visit, which is one of good will. It is understood that Mr. Latham will visit the Netherlands East Indies, Singapore, Hong Kong, 1907 China and Japan. His Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom have been happy to promise their assistance in connection with the tour, which they feel confident will serve a valuable purpose in promoting closer relations with the countries to be visited.
