§ 59. Mr. RHYS DAVIESasked the Minister of Transport whether his attention has been called to the lack of control by local authorities over the erection or installation of high tension electrical 1335 devices; and whether he has yet considered what steps can be taken to remove this danger?
§ Mr. HORE-BELISHAOverhead high tension electric lines are subject to the regulations made by the Electricity Commissioners for securing the safety of the public, but if the hon. Member would let me know in what respects he considers danger arises, I will look further into the matter.
§ Mr. DAVIESIs it not grossly unfair to local authorities in their duty of looking after the interests of the community, that regulations of the Electricity Board can over-ride their rights in this matter?
