§ 21. Mr. THORNE (for Mr. McENTEE)asked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that if a tenant of a dwelling-house subject to the Rent Acts dies intestate his widow is entitled to retain possession, but if the tenant leaves a will the widow is denied this right; and whether he is prepared to take action to remove this anomaly?
Sir H. YOUNGI am advised that the law is as stated by the hon. Member. The point has been noted for consideration in connection with amending legislation, but I cannot hold out any prospect of such legislation during the present Session.
