§ Mr. E. BROWNAt the end of November, 1929, 1930, 1931 and 1934, the number of wage-earners on colliery books in 190 South Yorkshire was 118,400, 114,900, 108,200 and 95,100, respectively. The corresponding figures for West Yorkshire were 52,800, 50,600, 50,000 and 43,700.
