§ 67. Mr. KIRKWOODasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is aware that, according to the report of the Glasgow Necessitous Children's Holiday Camp Fund, there are 67,000 children in Glasgow whose parents are too poor to afford a holiday this year; and will he consider the advisability of the Department of Education making a grant to the West of Scotland and other industrial areas to provide holidays for necessitous children during the summer?
§ The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for SCOTLAND (Mr. Skelton)I am informed that there is no provision in the Education (Scotland) Acts that would enable the Scottish Education Department to make a grant for the purpose referred to in the question.
