The numbers of privately-owned aircraft registered in the United Kingdom on 31st December, 1931, 1932 and 1933, were 385, 402 and 408, respectively. These figures are exclusive of aircraft used for transport, taxi-work, training and club-work.

It is possible, however, to give, as at 31st December of each year, the numbers of registered civil aircraft other than those owned by regular air transport companies, and these figures are shown in the table below.
