HC Deb 17 April 1934 vol 288 c898
81. Mr. McENTEE

asked the Minister of Health whether the advisory committee on London refuse have finished their work and reported; and, if so, will he state the nature of their report?

Sir H. YOUNG

I understand that the committee have completed their inspection of places where refuse is handled in the county, or disposed of outside the county, and also their inquiry into the collection and disposal of house refuse and the cleansing of streets and gullies in all but one of the City and Metropolitan borough councils; and that the committee hope shortly to be able to submit a report in the first place with regard to the disposal of London refuse.
