§ Mr. SKELTONThe Commission have completed rather more than half of their work, but they still have to deal with the endowments of Glasgow, Dunbarton, Fife, Lanark, Perth and Kinross, Renfrew and Stirling. I am informed that full details of the state of progress will be given in the Commissioners' Fifth Report, which will be published at an early date and will be available for hon. Members. It will not be possible for the Commissioners to complete their work by the end of this year.
§ Sir I. MACPHERSONIs it proposed to end the life of this Commission at the end of the year?
§ Mr. SKELTONThe question of whether legislation will be introduced continuing the life of the Commission is at present under consideration.
§ Sir I. MACPHERSONWill the hon. Gentleman bear in mind that the people 882 of Scotland desire that the Commission's life should be ended?
