§ 7. Mr. H. § Dr. BURGINIn the 12 months ended March, 1934, the value of the imports into the United Kingdom of dairy produce consigned from foreign countries represented 48 per cent. of the total imports of such products. I can assure my hon. Friend that in any measures which may be taken to restrict imports of dairy produce due consideration will be given to the interests of the Empire producer.
§ Mr. WILLIAMSOught not the Empire to have first call in this matter over foreign countries, and can the hon. Member say why there has been constant propaganda from Ministerial sources in support of a restriction of Empire products while foreign products are to come, in unrestricted?
