HC Deb 16 April 1934 vol 288 c686
2. Brigadier-General CLIFTON BROWN

asked the Secretary of State for India whether the handing over of Secunderabad and Bangalore to the Nizam of Hyderabad and the Maharajah of Mysore, respectively, entails the reduction of the Crown Forces now stationed there or the removal of these troops to fresh cantonments; and, if so, what are to be the new stations?

Sir S. HOARE

My hon. and gallant Friend must be under a misapprehension. It is not proposed to hand over the areas required at Secunderabad and Bangalore for military purposes as he suggests, and therefore there is no question of reducing the Forces involved.
