asked the Secretary for Mines whether he is aware that the proposed visit of Polish coalowners to discuss jointly with British coalowners common problems affecting the commercial disposal of coal has now been postponed indefinitely; and whether he has any information as to the cause of this postponement?

I am glad to be in a position to reassure the hon. Member. A delegation, consisting of nine representatives of the Polish coal industry, is now on its way to London and will meet the British coalowners on Wednesday.

Will they discuss the supply of Polish coal to Southern Europe?

Mr. BROWN

They will discuss matters affecting international trade in coal.

Including the importation of Polish coal into Southern Europe?
