HC Deb 09 April 1934 vol 288 cc4-5
8. Mr. MAINWARING

asked the Minister of Agriculture if it is within his knowledge that officials of the Milk Marketing Board are holding themselves at the disposal of Members of this House who are all members of a certain party; and whether he will take steps to bring to the notice of these officials that such action on the part of persons engaged in the administration of a scheme under an Act of Parliament is undesirable?

Major DAVIES

My right hon. Friend is glad to know that members and officials of the Milk Marketing Board have accepted an invitation to meet the Conservative Agricultural Committee of this House, and he has no reason to suppose that a similar invitation from Members of any political party would not be gladly accepted. He sees no reason whatever to take the steps suggested by the hon. Member.
