§ The FIRST COMMISSIONER of WORKS (Mr. Ormsby-Gore)The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative; in regard to the second part an alternative arrangement of staff to overcome the defect had been proposed to the Inland Revenue, but this is now being reconsidered by them in view of a probable increase in the district staff.
§ Sir J. GILMOURI think I have answered that question. Out of 77 appointed since the War, 4.2 have been ex-service men.
