The SECRETARY of STATE for DOMINION AFFAIRS (Mr. J. H. Thomas)

The Newfoundland Estimates for 1933–31 provide for the payment of $508,100 in war pensions. Apart from an advance of £400,000 from His Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom, the amount borrowed by the Government of Newfoundland for war purposes was approximately $13,000,000.
