The Scottish Agricultural Securities Corporation began its operations towards the end of the month of August and is how dealing with applications from farmers and others for loans on the security of land. A sum of £100,000 has been advanced to the Corporation by the Treasury for the establishment of the guarantee fund provided for in the Agricultural Credits (Scotland) Act.
