HC Deb 28 November 1933 vol 283 c695
67. Mr. TINKER

asked the Secretary for Mines if he is now in a position to say when the report of the committee set up to inquire into overwinding in shaft accidents will be issued?

Mr. E. BROWN

The committee cannot undertake the preparation of its report until it has completed the necessary inquiries, which, I understand, are likely to occupy at least another six or seven months. I have already explained, in reply to previous questions, that this is a highly technical and complex problem to which adequate time must be given for effective examination.
