§ 1. Mr. MANDERasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether any joint examination has yet taken place under Article 2 of the Four-Power Pact of Articles 10, 16, and 19 of the Covenant of the League of Nations?
§ Mr. MANDERCan the right hon. Gentleman say whether it is proposed to take up those points in due course?
§ Sir J. SIMONIn due course, it may be so. At present the Four-Power Pact has been ratified by two of the signatories, but has not yet been ratified by the other two.
§ Mr. THORNEIs there any paper which we can obtain which will give the full obligations so far as the Four-Power Pact is concerned?
§ Sir J. SIMONI do not think that Pact can be said to impose obligations in the sense that my hon. Friend means. I think that a document has been published, but, if my hon. Friend will allow me to inquire, I will let him know.
