HC Deb 23 May 1933 vol 278 cc916-7
26. Brigadier-General SPEARS

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether, in the impending negotiations for a trade agreement with Finland, he will take into consideration the fact that the depreciated currency of that country already places her in an advantageous position in our markets?

Mr. RUNCIMAN

I can assure my hon. and gallant Friend that all relevant considerations will be borne in mind in the negotiations with Finland.

Mr. KIRKWOOD

Is the right hon. Gentleman aware that this trouble with Russia is causing a tremendous amount of discontent and unemployment, particularly in the West of Scotland?
