The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MINISTRY of LABOUR (Mr. R. S. Hudson): As regards membership of the King's Roll, it is the practice of the contracting Departments to apply the same rules to sub-contractors and main contractors.

Mr. MANDER

Is the hon. Gentleman aware that in many cases these regulations are not being carried out by subcontractors, and will he investigate them?

Mr. HUDSON

The matter is primarily one for the contracting Departments of the Government, but, if my hon. Friend will bring any particular cases to may notice, I shall be glad to pass them on to the competent authority, to have them looked into.

Mr. MANDER

I shall be very glad to do so.
