asked the President of the Board of Trade the value of exports of cotton goods from the United Kingdom to Iraq for the three months prior to the entry of Iraq into the League of Nations and for the last three months for which statistics are available; and whether he can state what were the total imports of cotton goods into Iraq during the same periods?

The date of Iraq's entry into the League of Nations was the 3rd October, 1932. The value of the aggregate imports of cotton goods into Iraq during the third and fourth quarters of 1932 amounted to £344,770 and £366,450, respectively, of which imports recorded as consigned from the United Kingdom were valued at £114,907 and £109,658, respectively. Comparable figures for a later period are not yet available.
