Captain STRICKLANDasked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury 18 whether he is now in a position to give the House further information with regard to the evasion of the Merchandise Marks Act by the importation into this country of foreign-made cartridge cases not conspicuously showing an indication of origin, as laid down in the joint memorandum on that Act issued by the Board of Trade and the Commissioners of Customs and Excise; and what action he proposes to take?
