§ Mr. LAWSONI beg to present to this honourable House a Petition signed by 16,500 electors in the Chester-le-Street Division, to protest against the means test for transitional payments to the unemployed, and to request that it be abolished because of the inequalities and injustices inflicted by it, and because of the danger of provoking disaffection and lawlessness among good citizens.
