HC Deb 23 March 1933 vol 276 c498
68. Mr. PEAT

asked the Minister of Transport how many schemes for rebuilding, re-aligning, widening, or repairing bridges have been brought to his attention by local authorities since the 1st January, 1933; and which of these schemes have been approved by His Majesty's Government?

The MINISTER of TRANSPORT (Mr. Oliver Stanley)

It would involve some labour to ascertain the precise number of schemes submitted during the period mentioned, and I trust that my hon. Friend will not press for the information. A number of applications of this character are, however, receiving consideration at the present time.
