HC Deb 21 March 1933 vol 276 c174
10. Mr. HAMMERSLEY

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he is now in a position to state the results of his deliberations on the problem of Japanese competition?

Mr. RUNCIMAN

The Government are pressing on as quickly as possible with their consideration of this matter, but I regret that I am not yet in a position to make a statement.

Mr. HAMMERSLEY

Is my right hon. Friend satisfied that he is not showing any undue haste in this matter?

Mr. RUNCIMAN

I am never satisfied with anything.
