§ 14. Mr. M. JONESasked the Secretary of State for India whether the Report of the Indian Army Capitation Tribunal is now under consideration by His Majesty's Government; whether any decision on the questions involved has been arrived at; and whether and when the report will be made available to Members of the House?
§ Sir S. HOAREThe report of the tribunal is under the consideration of His Majesty's Government, but no decision has yet been reached on the questions involved. I cannot yet say whether the report will be published.
§ Sir S. HOAREIt is difficult to give an answer, but I hope that it will not be long delayed. A number of Departments are concerned in the matter.
§ Mr. JONESWhen the decision is arrived at, will the right hon. Gentleman consider publishing the report as a White Paper?
§ Sir S. HOAREI am not sure whether the report will be published. It was a report for the Government and not primarily for the public.
