asked the Minister of Agriculture the amount of deficiency payments paid out under the Wheat Quota Act up to date, specifying the sum paid to farmers in Oxfordshire?

The Wheat Commission have paid advances totalling £1,283,535 to registered growers in the United Kingdom on account of deficiency payments to which they will become entitled under the Wheat Act, 1932. The sum paid to farmers in Oxfordshire is £26,125. These payments are in respect of wheat certificates lodged with the commission up to 30th November last. A further advance in respect of certificates received between 1st December and 28th February will be made on or about 25th March.
