§ Major ELLIOTThe value of the output from holdings over 1 acre in England and Wales in 1931–32 may be estimated provisionally at about £19,500,000 in the case of poultry and eggs, and £11,000,000 2138 for wheat, barley and oats. The latter figure does not include the proportion of the crops retained on farms for seed or feed.
