HC Deb 16 March 1933 vol 275 c2107
1. Colonel GOODMAN

asked the Minister of Labour whether he will give the House information as to the decisions arrived at by the flax and hemp trade board, Great Britain, with regard to the proposal to revise the rates of wages in the flax and hemp industry; what are the new rates decided upon; and by what sums will the new hourly and piece-work rates differ from those previously in operation for the various classes of workers?

The MINISTER of LABOUR (Sir Henry Betterton)

My hon. Friend will find full information as to the proposed new minimum rates of wages in the flax and hemp trade in the statutory notice of their proposals issued by the trade board, of which I am sending him a copy.
