§ 48. Brigadier-General Sir HENRY CROFTasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he can give a revised estimate of the yield of the Beer Duty, Customs and Excise, for the year ending 31st March next to compare with the last Budget estimate of £80,000,000; and, failing that, can he give the figure for 11 months?
§ The CHANCELLOR of the EXCHEQUER (Mr. Chamberlain)It is not the practice to give revised estimates of the receipt of duty during the course of the year, but the approximate yield for the eleven months to 28th February was £69,500,000.
