§ 58. Lieut.-Colonel MOOREasked the Minister of Agriculture whether he has any information to show whether the present supply of draught horses in this country will prove sufficient to meet the demand necessitated by the revival of arable agriculture; and whether he is satisfied that the present schemes of State encouragement for heavy horse-breeding in this country are adequate for their purpose?
§ Major ELLIOTAs regards the first part of my hon. and gallant Friend's question, I have no reason to suppose that the supply of horses for agricultural purposes is likely to prove inadequate. The answer to the second part is in the affirmative.
