HC Deb 02 March 1933 vol 275 c545
54. Viscount CRANBORNE

asked the Minister of Health when the committee which he is setting up, under the Housing Bill, to consider the question of re-conditioning is expected to report?

Sir H. YOUNG

I hope the committee will find it practicable to submit a report at an early date, but it would be premature for me to attempt to fix one at the present time.

Viscount CRANBORNE

Will the Government regard this as a matter of urgency, in view of the proved fact that reconditioning can be carried out on an economic basis?

Sir H. YOUNG

Certainly, the committee will be asked to undertake the matter as one of urgency.
