asked the Minister of Transport whether he has reached a decision concerning the scheme submitted to him by the Carmarthenshire County Council for a high-level bridge over the River Towy at Carmarthen?

Discussions are still proceeding between my Department and the county council regarding the cost and relative advantages of alternative schemes.

Could the hon. Gentleman give some idea as to when a decision will be reached in view of the great inconvenience caused by the present arrangements?
