asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he proposes to take any action with regard to the report recently submitted to him with regard to the necessity for protecting certain wild birds on Ailsa Craig?

The county council's report to which my hon. and gallant friend refers was received on 17th May, and has been referred to the Scottish Advisory Committee on Wild Birds. A reply will be sent to the county council as soon as possible after I have considered the committee's report.
