HC Deb 13 June 1933 vol 279 cc8-9
10. Mr. MAINWARING (for Sir WILLIAM JENKINS)

asked the Secretary for Mines what percentage of coal is shipped in the South Wales ports, Newport, Cardiff, Barry, Port Talbot and Swansea, where machinery has been installed to minimise the breakage of coals for shipment; and what anti-breakage appliances have been installed in the last 10 years?

Mr. E. BROWN

As the answer is mainly in the form of a statistical table, I will, with the hon. Member' permission, circulate it in the OFFICIAL REPORT.

Following is the answer:

Receiver in the matter of Messrs. Waring and Gillow; what is the nature of that report; and is any further action contemplated?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the BOARD of TRADE (Dr. Burgin)

The Official Receiver' investigations have been completed; the facts ascertained do not, in his opinion, disclose fraud committed by any person within the terms of Section 182, Sub-section (2) of the Companies Act, 1929. He has reported to the Court accordingly and no further action with regard to this aspect of the liquidation is contemplated.
