§ 28. Sir THOMAS ROSBOTHAMasked the Minister of Agriculture, whether he can now make any further statement as to the appointment of a reorganisation commission for eggs and poultry.
§ The MINISTER of AGRICULTURE (Major Elliot)The appointment of a Reorganisation Commission or Commissions will be proceeded with as soon as the desires of the producers have been ascertained. At present the Scottish 2961 position is not quite clear but I understand that my hon. Friend the Under-Secretary of State for Scotland is conferring with the producers there at a very early date. Immediately thereafter I hope to arrange with my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland for the necessary action. I can assure my hon. Friend that I am fully informed as to the desire of English producers for early action.
§ Mr. T. WILLIAMSCan the right hon. and gallant Gentleman give us any idea when the Scottish position with regard to anything will be perfectly clear?
§ Major ELLIOTIt is all too clear as a rule. That is one of our chief difficulties.
