HC Deb 27 July 1933 vol 280 c2754
73. Captain RAMSAY

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he will call the attention of the county council of Midlothian to the need for the provision of an adequate water supply for the tenants of miners' houses in South Midlothian, many of whom have access only to one pipe line in the street and have to share one tap with several other tenants?

Mr. SKELTON

I have not received any complaints as to the lack of an adequate water supply for the tenants of miners' houses in South Midlothian. As my hon. and gallant Friend knows, the question of the modernisation of water supplies in certain villages presents difficult problems, but, if he will furnish me with the examples which he has in mind, I shall give careful consideration to them.
