HC Deb 27 July 1933 vol 280 c2778
65. Mr. MALLALIEU

asked the President of the Board of Trade the value and the volume of the United Kingdom export trade in the June quarters of 1932 and 1933, respectively?

Dr. BURGIN

The declared value of the exports of the produce and manufactures of the United Kingdom during the quarters ended 30th June, 1932 and 1933, was £94,702,000 and £85,584,000, respectively. Eliminating the effect of price changes, the volume of the exports in the second quarter of 1933 was about 6 per cent. below that of the corresponding period of 1932.

Mr. HERBERT WILLIAMS

May I ask whether the information that the hon. Gentleman has just read out is not available in the Board of Trade Journal in the Library?

Dr. BURGIN

It is.
