asked the Postmaster-General whether he will consider the advisability of referring to the Post Office Advisory Council the question of how the development of British air-mail services may be stimulated by the simplification of rates and other changes in existing Post Office policy with regard thereto?

I am not prepared to agree with my hon. Friend that Post Office policy is retarding the development of the air mail, which has shown considerable expansion in the last few years. If, however, he has any suggestions to make, I shall be glad to consider them and, if desirable, to bring them before the Advisory Council.
