HC Deb 13 July 1933 vol 280 cc1319-20
Major ELLIOT

I beg to move, in page 9, line 6, after the word "Act," to insert the words: not being an Order in Council. Since it is not customary to require the laying of an Order in Council before Parliament, we are inserting these words.

Amendment agreed to.

Major ELLIOT

I beg to move, in page 9, line 8, to leave out from the word "Parliament," to the end of Subsection (2), and to insert instead thereof the words: () As soon as may be after any order, not being an Order in Council, is made under this Act, the authority making the order shall, in such manner as that authority thinks best for informing persons concerned, publish a notice stating that the order has been made, and specifying the place where copies of the order may be purchased. This Amendment is to enable orders to be brought to the notice of persons affected thereby.
