HC Deb 06 July 1933 vol 280 cc501-2
44. Mr. HALL-CAINE

asked the First Commissioner of Works whether, in view of the large amount of official entertainment that has been arranged for the delegates to the World Economic Conference, he can state what arrangements, if any, have been made for entertaining the staffs of these delegations during their stay in Great Britain?

The FIRST COMMISSIONER of WORKS (Mr. Ormsby-Gore)

A proportion of the staffs of the delegations have received invitations to, and have actually attended, the majority of the functions which have been organised by or with the assistance of the Government Hospitality Fund. In addition, a special reception has already been arranged for the junior staffs, and another special reception for them is under consideration.
