HC Deb 27 February 1933 vol 275 c8
25. Mr. BARCLAY-HARVEY

asked the Secretary to the Overseas Trade Department if, in view of the fact that notices advertising the British Industries Fair were this year exhibited in English in foreign countries, he will arrange that in future they appear in the language of the country in which they are exhibited?

Mr. E. BROWN

Every effort has been made to avoid the complaint to which my hon. Friend refers. Such Press advertisements as were used abroad were, except possibly in the Journals of overseas British Chambers of Commerce, printed in the language of the country concerned. The same applies to posters and other printed matter which were issued in ten languages as in previous years. If the hon. Member has any specific case in mind I shall be obliged if he will bring it to my notice.
