27. Mr. T. WILLIAMS

asked the Home Secretary what provision, is made for the pension of the widow of a policeman in the event of the man dying two years after entering the force?

Sir J. GILMOUR

Under Section 3 of the Police Pensions Act, 1921, the widow of a member of a police force of two years' service is entitled to a pension if he dies from the effects of an injury received on duty without his own default. If he dies while in the force from any other cause his widow receives a gratuity.
