9. Mr. RHYS DAVIES (for Mr. PARKINSON)

asked the Secretary of State for India whether the Government of Burma intend to act on the resolution passed by the Legislative Council of Burma in favour of suspending the annual migration, of the Government of Burma to Maymyo as a measure of economy?

Sir S. HOARE

I have no information as to the intentions of the Government of Burma in the matter.

10. Mr. DAVIES (for Mr. PARKIN SON)

asked the Secretary of State for India what action the Government of India propose to take in response to the representations from Burmese chambers of commerce and other similar bodies with reference to the reservation of Burmese coastal traffic?

I have not heard from the Government of India on this point, but will ask for a report.
