HC Deb 16 February 1933 vol 274 c1167
47. Sir FRANCIS FREMANTLE

asked the Minister of Health the action taken by local authorities in submitting schemes, respectively, for slum clearance and improvement under the 1930 Act during the last quarter of 1932 and in general since 1930?

The MINISTER of HEALTH (Sir Hilton Young)

Since the passing of the Housing Act, 1930, resolutions have been received by my Department declaring 633 areas in England and Wales to be clearance areas and 25 areas to be improvement areas for the purposes of that Act. Of these areas, 116 and 1 respectively, were the subject of resolutions received during the last quarter of 1932.
